Attendance Policy: All private lesson students at Riverdale High School are expected to be on time and prepared for their lessons. In the event of a lesson cancellation, lesson students are responsible for directly contacting their private lesson teacher with at least a 24 hours notice of said cancellation. If a 24 hours notice of a cancellation is not received, full payment is still due for that lesson. Emergency cancellations will be dealt with on an individual basis. If a student is unprepared for their lesson, the private lesson teacher may dismiss the student to a practice room for the remainder of the lesson time, with the full payment for instruction still being due.
Payment Policy: All private lesson students will pay advanced monthly installments the third (3rd) Thursday of every month. Payments are to be placed in “Payment Envelopes” and deposited in the Riverdale Band Office Mailbox by the third (3rd) Thursday of each month; any check must be addressed to “Riverdale Band Boosters”. PayPal and credit card payments are accepted through RiverdaleBand.com/payments.
If a private lesson student does not pay in advance for the month, private lesson teachers will not instruct their students until payment is received. Our private lesson teachers work incredibly hard and long hours throughout multiple schools in Tennessee; they deserved to be compensated in a timely manner for their work. Of course, we understand that life happens; if for some reason you are unable to make your payments in a timely manner, contact your student’s private lesson teacher directly. You will find that our private lesson teachers (and band directors) are incredibly understanding IF there is advanced communication.
