Garrett Cole Senior Spotlight '08

It's hard to think that it has been almost four
years since I came to Riverdale and the band.
Soon it will be graduation and all us seniors
will be gone, and I have a couple of things to say to everyone.

To the band directors:

You drive us crazy and we complain about everything, but at the end of the day if us band kids can get past our egos, we can all agree that everything that you do has helped the band. I think we don't give you enough credit for all the work that goes on in the office. On behalf of those who are too stubborn to admit it, thank you for all that you have done for me and the rest of the band.

To the band parents and the Band Booster Officers:

You guys ROCK. I don't know many people who would devote their money, energy, and (most importantly) time. You have done so much behind the scenes and have gotten very little thanks that you most definitely deserve. One day the students will realize how much you actually do, so until then let me once again congratulate you.

To the band and my friends:

It's been four great years filled with fun and yes....*Sigh*...drama. We could make a list of all the memories that we have had, and we still have many more to make. Just a word of encouragement, don't quit band. Band is like a second family, and they will be there for you thick or thin. If it means having to "put up" with some things, so be it. Having people you can talk to about anything is a great asset to helping you live life. Never take it for granted.
