Booster Meeting

 

There will be a very important Booster meeting in the band room at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14.  We will be discussing Band Camp which starts Monday, July 20, and all the work that Boosters do to help the students and directors have a successful Camp experience. There is much for everyone to do and all helpful hands are very much appreciated!!  We will also discuss the new uniforms that have been ordered for this fall, uniform check-out nights and the upcoming fundraisers for the school year and start to schedule volunteers for various events.  Please make plans to be at this very important meeting and be involved in your student’s music education experience as much as you possibly can!

 

Zaxby’s Fundraiser Days

 

We have secured every 3rd Tuesday for the rest of the year as fundraiser days for the Warrior Band at Zaxby’s Restaurant on Church Street.  With the flyers that we will have access to, and will also pass out to patrons of the restaurant and our friends, the Band will receive 10% of all sales.  This is a very easy fundraiser for the Band if we will just get the word out to our friends, families and co-workers.  Use your Facebook pages and friends’ lists to spread the word!  This month’s fundraising day is Tuesday, July 21st from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.  The flyer that is needed is printable from a link on the band website, www.riverdaleband.com.   Make sure and print several to distribute to everyone!  Don’t worry about what to cook for dinner, and pick up a chicken dinner to support the Band!

 

Music is Available!

 

Music for the fall marching program is now available on the band website, www.riverdaleband.com, to print and rehearse.  Be sure to print all 3 parts of the show for your individual instrument, and be learning the music for Band Camp.

 

There is also a link on the band website for a drawing of the new uniforms that have been ordered for marching season.  They look great in the drawing and in person!  Riverdale will be among the best-dressed this year!!!  Stand proud!  GO WARRIORS!!

A BIG THANK YOU! goes out to Publix SuperMarket on South Rutherford Blvd. and Mr. Rick Smith, Assistant Manager, for helping us put together “Survival Kits” for our new freshmen members this year.  Rick has been very helpful in securing several items to donate to our project of putting these kits together and we appreciate Publix’s community involvement very much!  We look forward to working with Publix more in the future in this way!  Stop in the store at the corner of South Rutherford Blvd and Southeast Broad Street and thank Rick and the store staff for their support of our Band!
