Greetings fellow Band Boosters:

 

It is hard to believe that it is already July, and Band Camp is upon us.  The show for this year is outstanding and our students will be marching in awesome new uniforms! 

 

We will hold our first booster meeting of the 2009-2010 year this Tuesday, July 14th at 7:00 in the Band room at Riverdale.  This is one of the most important meetings of the year and I urge you to attend.  We will provide details on our Band Camp schedule and the full marching season.  We will also have information on the many volunteer opportunities for the boosters this year.  We need volunteers to help with Band Camp, fund raising activities, pit crew, basketball concessions, and several other critical band support functions.  We need full participation from every booster!  Even if you have limited time available or if you’re not sure how to help out please speak to me or another board member at the meeting and we will find a good spot for you.

 

If you haven’t been on the band web site I encourage you to check it out at www.riverdaleband.com for constant updates on all the band activities and a full calendar of important dates including the required fee schedule.  Since we purchased new uniforms for this season we have depleted all of our reserve funds making it critical for all student accounts to remain current.  If you are having difficulty meeting the required fee schedule please contact the financial secretaries, the Band Director or me and we will try our best to reach an acceptable arrangement.  Students can cover a large part of their fees through participation in fund raising activities. 

 

I am looking forward to meeting all of you this year and working with each of you as we support our band directors and students.  Please feel free to contact me anytime through out the coming year with any ideas, concerns, or suggestions.  Go Warriors!
