BAND CAMP 2007 The New Marchers Camps will be held
on Monday, July 23rd, and Tuesday,
July 24th.  The 3-Day Music Camp will
be Wednesday, July 25th through Friday, July 27th.  The 5-Day Band Camp will be Monday, July 30th, through Friday, August 3rd.  (See Calendars for times.)   More information regarding Band Camp is enclosed with this newsletter from the band directors.

Parents, please make sure that your child comes to Band Camp with their lunch and a drink.  The band boosters will be providing a drink and light snack at the 10:00 and 2:00 breaks.  There will also be water available on the practice field.  It will be very hot and they will not want to eat heavy, so choose foods high in calorie content to help sustain them through the day.                                    FOOD = ENERGY!!  

We will need volunteers to help set up the concession area and serve the students for the breaks, donations to help provide some nutritional snacks for breaks, as well as help with the band cook-out on Friday and donations for the food.  There will be sign-up sheets at the July booster meeting and uniform check-outs for those interested in helping.

2007 Football Season TICKETS We will be selling football season tickets again this year and they will be $25 for five home games.  The first home game is August 24th versus Oakland.  We will be selling them until the Tuesday before the first game.  We will receive 50% of the profits to generate the funds necessary to take us to the away games.  

When this money runs out, we will be unable to go to the away games, so be sure to get your season tickets from the band to help out.  Also, remember to buy for any extended family members or friends who love Riverdale football or who are fans of our great band!                          
THANK-YOU!! A special thank-you  to the parents that helped with the rebuilding of the band tower stairs (especially from Mr. Meers and his staff who have to climb them)!!  They include Keith Patrick and son Ethan Patrick, Tom Cole, Patrick Cole, and Teri Cole, Dave Huber, Wendell Almonrode, Mark Gray, and booster alumnus Paul Schoenfeld.  

We also would like to thank Manager McCann and Home Depot for the donation of most of the materials used and their support of the Riverdale Band.  
30th Annual TN Division I State Marching Band Comp. HELP!!  We need a volunteer to oversee program ad sales for our Division I Competition.  If you have a knack for this, please contact Joyce Lawrence or Carol Goslowsky.  Our profit margin for this fundraiser is significantly affected by our ability to sale ads for the program.  Please let us know if you have time to make calls.
