               Mike Aymett, Assist.Dir.     Can you believe it is already February?   It seems like yesterday that we celebrated Christmas.  Time is flying by and there are only a few months remaining in this year's band calendar, but we have several items left to address to keep everyone busy.  

I would like to thank Angie Ray and Karla Brown for organizing the fruit reward lock-in party held on January 25th.  We had a great turn out and everyone enjoyed the food, fellowship, games, and prizes.   Special thanks to Terri Cole, Trina Clinton, Bill and Jana Fann, Nancy Franklyn, Mark Gray, Steve Hart, Dave Huber, Jennifer Lebechuck, Frank and Patti Powell, Gary Reed, and Paul Schoenfeld for chaperoning the event!  

Thanks to Frank and Patti Powell for donating a $25 ITunes gift card given as the grand door prize!  Special thanks also to the following businesses for donating food and/or door prizes: Blockbuster, Books A Million, Cozumel, Domino’s, Donut Delight, Kirkenburt’s, MTSU Athletics, Pillsbury, Sonic, Strike and Spare, Toots, and Wynnsong Theatre ¼.  Be sure to tell them the Warrior Band appreciates their support the next time you vis
This month’s booster meeting will be held on February 12th.  One of the major items of discussion will be the nomination of new officers for the 2008-09 school year with the elections being held at the March meeting.

Another important item on the agenda will be the alteration of band dues for 2008-09.   A recommendation has been made to the Executive Board by a specially appointed Dues Committee to adjust the band dues.   We will announce this recommendation and put it to a vote at the February 12th meeting.  Please make every effort to attend this meeting as your vote is very important and we need everyone’s input.  

Please be sure to get all your Bahamas cruise paperwork turned in as soon as possible.  A notary will be available at the February 12th meeting to finalize any outstanding paperwork.  Final payments are due February 24th!
