Candice Rutledge Senior Spotlight '07
Wow!!  The last four years have really flown by.  I can't believe that I am finally a senior.  I will always remember the great times that I had being a Riverdale band member. There has never been a dull moment!  Some of the best memories of high school are the crazy football games and competitions and the band trips that I will never forget.  Band has helped me develop leadership skills and has taught me responsibility for myself and others.  This is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.  Band has also allowed me to meet so many people who have the same interests and goals as I do.  Thanks to Hannah and Holli.  I don't know what I would have done without you guys.

I am planning on attending MTSU next year majoring in education or nursing.  I will miss everyone, especially all of my fluties.  You guys mean the world to me and I pray that you guys will never give up and always do your best to strive for excellence, and don't forget Feng shui!!  I love you guys.

I also want to thank my parents for always supporting me and making it through the endless hours of practicing I did on my flute.  Finally, a big thank you to Mr. A. and Mr. Meers for the hard work they put in to make my high school years in band the best ever.  Band has given us all somewhere to belong and something to be proud of and I want to thank you for that.  I am excited to start college and begin my travel through adulthood.  Thanks again to everyone.  I will miss you!
