Happy New Year! I hope each of you had a blessed holiday season and are ready for the remainder of this year’s band season. We have several activities planned for the spring and I look forward to seeing some fresh faces involved. We are blessed to have great parents who are always ready to pitch in whenever needed. We’ve accomplished a lot of great projects because of your willingness to step up. I am humbled by your giving spirit and support. Thanks again.
A special thank you to Patti Powell for her hard work chairing the fruit sale this year. At the risk of leaving someone out, I would also like to thank Karla Brown, Terri Cole, Rick Corum, Jana Fann, Nancy Franklyn, Steve Hart, Jennifer Lebechuck, Donald Parente, Angie Ray, Gary Reed, and Paul Schoenfeld for helping with delivery days.
Our total sales for both the Thanksgiving and Christmas sales were $33,341.50. Way to go, students!! The top class winner was the Seniors. They will be treated to a dinner in the near future for having the most percentage per student in sales for their class. Individual top sales were Sam Mullins ($2,203), Emily Reed ($1,332), and Adrienne Welchance ($1,278). Each will receive an additional bonus to their student account. Way to go, girls!!
We will be discussing and starting to plan the fruit lock-in at the next booster meeting to reward all the students who participated in selling fruit this year. Adult volunteers will be needed! Further details will be sent home with your student.
Good news!! The board has given final approval for the Bahamas cruise. Please be sure to get your passport and keep up with the payment schedule. The next payment of $175 is due January 7th.
I look forward to seeing everyone at our next meeting on the 8th.
